About the researcher
Stewart Brown
I work with schools on computer science, AI literacy and how children learn to understand the technology they use.
I lead education partnerships at Code4Kids. My work connects curriculum, teacher support and school implementation. I created this tracker to help educators compare technology rules with what students are required to learn.
Why I built this resource
School leaders need to make several decisions at once: which tools students can use, what safeguards they need, what students should understand and how teachers will support that learning. This project brings the relevant policy evidence together, with sources, dates and research gaps visible.
The research uses AI assistance. Findings are organized around the published sources and the review method. My work at Code4Kids is disclosed so readers can assess that connection.
Speaking and collaboration
I am scheduled to co-present at FETC in January 2027. Topics I can discuss with education audiences include:
- Technology rules and the learning students need alongside them.
- Foundational computer science and AI literacy across K–8 subjects.
- Using AI to build a source-linked public education resource.
For speaking invitations, research collaboration or professional opportunities, contact me on LinkedIn. Please include your organization, audience and what you would like to discuss.
Curriculum and implementation support
Through Code4Kids, I work with schools on K–8 computer science and AI literacy. If your school is looking for curriculum or teacher support, learn about Code4Kids. This is a commercial service, separate from the policy findings in this tracker.
